Hurricane in Ohio

Hurricane IKE tore through Texas in its full glory! Sorry Texas. Then it made a right turn and headed right for Cincinnati Ohio. Sunday night the so called reminants of it reached us. . All 80 mph of it. The long treck north from Texas didn't slow it completely down. 600,000 people without electricity sitting in the dark. We don't get those type of winds here often. The National Weather Bureau says it had been 90+ years in fact. Then when the storm was done almost 6 hours later we were informed that most of our power crews had been dispatched to Texas to aid them. So they put out a call and North Carolina power crews were soon on there way to help us. Today is Saturday and 6 days later there are 106,000 people still in the dark. Luckily the storm also came with a cool front so it is very comfortable here. Neighborhhoods have banned togehter and formed  thier own little groups of workers to clean up the trees that laid or lay fallen. I have seen a few Tornadoes here and never seen this many trees down. I don't mind telling you that I would not be disappointed if it were another 90+ years before this happens again. It could have been worse though, (again Sorry Texas) it could have happened earlier and postponed football.  PEACE
